Violent and widespread anomie, brought about by a glut of leisure and wealth, is leading humanity to its demise!

The post-apocalyptic city is infested with pigeons the size of pterodactyls, swooping down to snatch up, and feast upon rats that glow unnervingly, due to the amount of toxic radiation in their food stream.

The boldness of the print on these kimono’s mimics the bright lights & big dreams that entice us into the city; yet on closer inspection rats and pigeons begin to emerge from the pattern.

These ‘vermin’ whose populations outnumber us a thousandfold, serve as a gritty reminder of humanity’s ignorance in regards to our wastefulness & greed.

There is so much dirt in beauty.
